October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Did you know that there are now tests to see if you are genetically more likely to be affected by breast cancer?

Getting tested may seem scary, but it is so important that you find out.  Because if you are at higher risk – that knowledge is power – the power to begin taking steps right away to reduce that risk. Be proactive – take charge of your own well-being.

For the month of October, 2009 when you have genetic testing at The Rocking Chair and mention the “Breast Cancer Awareness Month Promotion”, you will get 15% off the cost of the genetic counselor.

Please call 201.308.5325 for more information.
Please note that the discount does not apply to third party lab fees.

The Rocking Chair will be holding an important seminar on “Understanding Your Risks for Breast Cancer and How to be Proactive About Them”. Speakers will include Brenda Zak, a genetic counselor who will speak about the genetic risk and how to get tested, Dr. Marda Sussman, a naturopathic doctor who will discuss natural ways to reduce your risk for developing cancer and Dr. Naomi Greenblatt who will discuss stress and the impact on cancer – how can we decrease it. Tuesday, October 20, 2009, 7:30 PM to 9 PM. There is no fee to attend. Space is limited and an RSVP is required. Please call 201.308.5325 for more information.
