Naomi GreenblattNaomi Greenblatt, M.D.,  Medical Director/Psychiatrist Dr. Naomi Greenblatt received her B.A. from New York University and her Medical Degree from NewYork University School of Medicine. Dr. Greenblatt fulfilled her residency in Psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center.  Dr. Greenblatt maintains a private practice in reproductive psychiatry, addressing all areas of women’s mental health, including pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder, infertility, postpartum depression, peri-menopausal issues, eating disorders and mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Greenblatt founded The Rocking Chair Women’s Wellness Center in order to better address a variety of women’s health needs from a multi-disciplinaryapproach that strives to care for women throughout their lives.  Dr. Greenblatt is passionate about the work that she does and has lectured to organizations and at charity events about the importance of women maintaining emotional wellness.  Dr. Greenblatt is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc., as well as a member of professional organizations, including the American Board of Medical Specialties, Resolve, Postpartum Support International and The Northern New Jersey Maternal/Child Health Consortium.

Dr. Greenblatt is an advisory board member of New Jersey Life Health & Beauty Magazine, and writes a periodic women’s health advice column for the publication. She is a regular guest on Doctor Radio, has been profiled by Binah magazine, and was among a group of select physicians and other health care providers featured in the January, 2010 issue of 201 Magazine as “People to Watch in Health – Bergen’s Champions of Health.”

Allison Rosen
Allison Rosen, Ph.D is a clinical psychologist in private practice for over 30 years specializing in general infertility counseling, third-party reproduction, pregnancy loss, and adoption. She sees individuals, couples and groups to help with reproductive issues, depression, anxiety as well as other psychological problems. She received her B.A. from the University of California, her Ph.D. from Michigan State University and her Certificate in Psychoanalysis from the William Alanson White Institute. Dr. Rosen has been on the forefront of research and development for fertility preservation for cancer patients. She co-founded the Fertility Preservation Special Interest Group in the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and she is on the Advisory Boards of Fertile Hope and Sharsheret, organizations dedicated to helping cancer survivors. She is the former executive director of Resolve of New York City where she created educational programs and support systems for infertile patients. She has served as a psychological consultant to many reproductive programs in the tri-state area. She is the Past President of the William Alanson White Psychoanalytic Society and is a faculty member and supervisor at the William Alanson White Institute. She edited the book, Frozen Dreams, a book written to help therapists better understand their emotional reactions to patients suffering infertility. Dr. Shoshana Mirvis, received her B.A from Yeshiva University and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She specializes in treating clients with Borderline Personality Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other anxiety and mood related disorders. Dr. Mirvis has been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and supportive psychotherapy. She has worked as part of the DBT Treatment Team at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Hillside Hospital and sees clients for individual therapy and DBT skills training groups in private practice. She has published articles on trauma and dissociation in peer-reviewed journals and has lectured at professional conferences. Dr. Mirvis is very committed to helping women develop the ability to effectively cope with life challenges and increase their sense of self-acceptance and emotional well being. Dr. Marda Sussman
Dr. Marda Sussman Dr. Marda Sussman has an enthusiastic approach to life and a passion for teaching others how to heal themselves. She studied Psychology and earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western, Ontario and her Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. Faced with a variety of career options, naturopathic medicine’s philosophy and approach to caring and fostering healing stood out amongst the rest. After four years at an accredited program, Dr. Sussman obtained her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and subsequently passed the Naturopathic Physician’s Licensing Exam (NPLEX) which is North American wide, and is licensed in the Province of Ontario. Dr. Sussman’s approach to care involves taking the time to educate her patients and to encourage as well as to enable them to make their own choices regarding their health using her guidance. Dr. Sussman has a great deal of experience working in multi-disciplinary clinics and with multi-disciplinary assessment teams. Dr. Sussman stays on the cutting edge of the latest research and practices by attending continuing education seminars and conferences worldwide. Brenda ZakBrenda Zak Brenda Zak received her Masters in Genetic Counseling from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.  Ms. Zak’s training and practice include prenatal/reproductive, pediatric, metabolic and cancer genetics. She is an active member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors. Ms. Zak provides patients with a risk assessment for hereditary diseases based upon their personal and family medical history. Ms. Zak’s experience includes working at a Breast Center and a private hematology-oncology practice, where she has been part of a multi-disciplinary team in caring for the patient. The initial meeting with each patient is utilized as an opportunity for Ms. Zak and the patient to identify if genetic testing is the right step for the patient. This is accomplished by providing each patient with the opportunity to explore how the test results may impact their medical decisions, family and life planning. After testing, through genetic counseling, each patient will be able to determine if any medical decisions are needed to be made based upon the test results. In addition, through the testing process, Ms. Zak will also assist each patient to determine if further support is needed for the patient and/ or their family. VeraVera Krijn, ARCB Vera has practiced fourteen years as a certified reflexologist and is skilled in treating, among other things, stress, anxiety and overall emotional wellness (for both men and women) using reflexology. Vera is the originator of the RAF program (Reflexology Assisted Fertility Program), which specifically targets infertility. Vera is also very experienced in working with women who have pre-natal, postpartum and hormonal related issues. Vera teaches reflexology certification programs and currently teaches the RAF program (Reflexology Assisted Fertility Program) at the Swedish Institute of Massage in Manhattan and in other areas around the world. Vera was twice president elect of The New York State Reflexology Association and has received the “Eunice Ingham Award” from The Reflexology Association of America for her contributions to the field of Reflexology. Vera was formerly the Director of the fertility program of the Olive Leaf Wholeness Center in Manhattan and lectures worldwide. Vera was featured in a 30-minute program about her work for the NHK Japanese Television. Vera Krijn is originally from the Netherlands and recently relocated to Bergen County. Rachel Fischler, MS, RD Rachel Fischler is a Registered Dietitian and holds a Master’s of Science degree in Nutrition Education from Columbia University.  Rachel has experience within the nutrition field in both clinical and non-clinical settings.  This includes working in a hospital, long term care, community nutrition, research, and counseling. Rachel specializes in weight management in both adults and children, pregnancy and menopause, and helps treat medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and gastrointestinal disorders. Rachel’s counseling technique emphasizes behavior modification in order to ensure lifelong success in meeting goals and overcoming personal barriers. Jane_SilaneJane Silane is a certified Jivamukti Yoga instructor, a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher, and a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Instructor. She specializes in prenatal & postnatal yoga, finding in it the very definition of yoga. Jane works with women at every stage of life, and modifies her classes to suit the students’ needs. She encourages women to tap into their inner wisdom, which guides them through life, making choices that are truly right for themselves. Jane teaches for Valley Hospital and is on staff at the Prenatal Yoga Center in NYC. Jane was director of the prenatal/postnatal yoga program at Jivamukti Yoga Center, as well as designed the prenatal curriculum for their Teacher Training Program.
