IMPORTANT REMINDER REGARDING CERTAIN POLICES OF THE ROCKING CHAIR LLC

We appreciate that you have chosen The Rocking Chair for your health and wellness needs.  In order for our office to function smoothly, we wanted to take the time to remind you about certain policies. Please read and abide by the following policies. Please feel free to call us with any questions.

APPOINTMENT POLICIES

Scheduling of Appointments: Patients should schedule appointments as much in advance as possible. Emergency appointments are an exception to this rule. If you have questions regarding what is considered a true emergency, please feel free to ask us.

Appointment Cancellations and Missed Appointments: We understand that schedules can change in the hectic lives we all lead. However, when you book an appointment, that time slot is reserved for you exclusively. In an effort to ensure that all patients have equal access and attention to our staff, we respectfully ask that you give our office a minimum of 24 hours prior notice if a cancellation or date change is necessary.  The full cost of the appointment will be charged for any late cancellation or no-show appointments. Late arrivals will result in a shortened appointment. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

PAYMENT POLICIES

Payment: In order to run our center smoothly, payment is required in full at the time of service. The Rocking Chair accepts personal checks, credit cards, and cash payment.

Insurance: Please be aware that some – and perhaps all – of the services you receive may be non-covered or not considered reasonable or necessary by insurance.

Nonpayment: Partial payments will not be accepted unless approved in advance by Dr. Naomi Greenblatt, the Medical Director. Please be aware that we incur costs when bills are not paid in a timely manner. Therefore, if a balance remains unpaid (unless otherwise approved by Dr. Naomi Greenblatt), we reserve the right to charge an additional $20 processing fee per month for each outstanding invoice and may refer your outstanding account to a collection agency. It is the patient’s responsibility to ensure that their visits are paid for in a timely manner.

Phone appointments: Phone sessions are to be scheduled and paid for in advance. Credit cards are accepted. When you book your phone session, please be sure to provide the office staff with your credit card for the appointment. If a phone session has been scheduled without payment, the session time may not be held for you. Please see below regarding emergency calls.

Phone calls: We understand that sometimes a patient may have an emergency that requires an unscheduled call to the doctor. These calls (and usage of the pager to page a doctor) are to be used for emergencies only. If the matter is not an emergency, please call the office during business days/hours with your question. Of course, emergency calls do not have to be paid in advance. Any phone time in excess of 5-10 minutes (at the doctor’s discretion), including, without limitation, with patients, family members, other treatment team members, labs, other physicians or therapists outside the center, will be considered a session and will be billable for time spent, including emergency calls.

The Rocking Chair is committed to providing the best treatment to our patients. Thank you for understanding and for complying with all of our policies. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
